This seminar is a hands-on training experience for youth workers and camp leaders who already work with young people. It focuses on improving leadership skills and developing important soft skills to make youth work more effective. Participants will share best practices, learn new strategies, and discover fresh ideas to use in their daily work. It will be located in the mountains of northern Spain, which brings a peaceful, green environment that encourages personal connections and meaningful experiences in nature while maintaining an international atmosphere. Therefore, a key focus will be on hosting sustainable initiatives and promoting eco-friendly youth engagement. Beyond leadership training, participants will engage with nature, build a strong community, and create networks for future projects. By the end, they will feel more confident, capable, and inspired to make a lasting impact.
Venue: Participants will stay in a cozy accommodation in the rural town of Nava and share rooms (bunker beds) with participants from the same gender. Despite being a small town, Nava has all the necessary services, such as pharmacy, grocerie markets, bars and public areas, ensuring a comfortable stay while enjoying the green surroundings. Meals: Food is covered by the organization. Participants might need to cook and clean for themselves to introduce their national food during the intercultural nights, and bring relevant ingredients that might not be found in Spain.
The Participant profile: The ideal participant for this seminar is a youth worker or camp leader who is already actively engaged in working with young people. They are passionate about improving their leadership abilities and enhancing their soft skills to make a greater impact in their work. The participant is eager to learn new strategies, exchange best practices, and gain fresh ideas to apply in their daily youth work. They may come from various backgrounds, but share a commitment to fostering personal growth, community development, and sustainability in their programs. The participant is open to collaborating with others from different cultural contexts, sharing experiences, and expanding their professional network. Additionally, they have a strong interest in developing eco-friendly initiatives and promoting sustainable youth engagement. They are motivated, proactive, and ready to engage in both practical training and outdoor activities, all while building lasting connections with like-minded professionals.Deadline: No application deadline
